Roads are vital infrastructure that support public mobility and economic growth. However, many roads in Indonesia, especially in urban and suburban areas, experience damage due to excessive vehicle loads and extreme weather conditions. This damage negatively impacts road user safety and transportation efficiency. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of road maintenance methods using hotmix materials as a medium-term solution to address this damage. The methods used included road condition surveys, field documentation, interviews with relevant agencies, and hotmix material quality testing. The study was conducted on several roads in District X, South Jakarta. The results indicate that the use of hotmix provides fast and efficient road surface repair, with a better service life compared to conventional patching methods. However, its effectiveness is highly dependent on the coating process, the condition of the road foundation, and weather factors during implementation. The conclusions of this study confirm that road maintenance using hotmix is a viable method for sustainable implementation, provided it is accompanied by adequate quality control and technical planning to ensure long-term durability and comfort for road users.
