PT SAI, located in Karawang, West Java, is one of the strategic industrial areas that often faces flooding problems during the rainy season. The flooding has an impact on disrupting production activities, damaging assets, and increasing operational costs. This activity aims to study the main causes of flooding and to design and evaluate an effective flood mitigation system in the factory environment. The methods used include topographic surveys, analysis of existing drainage systems, rainfall and runoff studies, and direct field observations. In addition, a new drainage system design approach and retention ponds were also carried out as the main solution. The results of the activity showed that the main causes of flooding were inadequate drainage channel capacity and a location position that was lower than the surrounding environment. The solutions implemented included increasing channel capacity, building retention ponds, and a pump system to accelerate water flow to the main channel. The conclusion of this activity stated that flood management at PT SAI can be carried out effectively through a combination of technical engineering and rainwater management planning. This activity also provides practical experience for students in the application of environmental civil engineering in real terms in industrial areas.
