Arrangement of Pondok Rajeg Station, Depok City

Abstract

Pondok Rajeg Station in Depok City is a vital public transportation hub serving millions of passengers annually. However, the station's current facilities and layout are suboptimal, causing user discomfort and potential safety issues. Station layout is an urgent need to improve user comfort, service efficiency, and safety. This study aims to design a more organized and user-friendly layout for Pondok Rajeg Station. The methods used were field observation, passenger satisfaction surveys, interviews with station managers, and spatial analysis using a participatory approach. The findings indicate that the layout of the waiting area, entry and exit routes, supporting facilities, and lighting need to be improved to reduce congestion and increase accessibility. Recommendations include rearranging the waiting area, adding information and security facilities, and adjusting passenger circulation routes. The study's conclusion confirms that an integrated and participatory layout for Pondok Rajeg Station can improve comfort and safety, as well as support the smooth operation of the station as a major transit point in Depok City.
