Domine Eduard Osok Airport (DEO) in Sorong is the main gateway for air transportation in the Southwest Papua region which has experienced a significant increase in flight traffic. However, the condition of the runway which has begun to experience a decline in structural and functional quality is a serious challenge in ensuring flight safety and efficiency. This study aims to examine the reconstruction process and leveling work on the DEO Airport runway by the Class I Airport Operator Unit. The methods used include field studies, technical data collection, interviews with project implementers, and analysis of technical documentation and reconstruction design. The results of the activity show that the reconstruction work was carried out in several main stages, namely dismantling the existing layer, repairing the foundation structure, re-asphalting with hotmix material, and leveling work based on a topographic survey system and GPS. This work has succeeded in significantly improving the quality of the runway structure and elevation, thus supporting flight safety standards according to the regulations of the Ministry of Transportation. The conclusion of this activity states that the reconstruction and leveling of the runway at DEO Airport is a strategic step that has succeeded in improving the performance of aviation infrastructure in eastern Indonesia.
